A lot of folks bad mouth the French, usually with no knowledge of reality. But, the French have paid more respect to the troops in both WW I and WW II than our own country. And the French don't care what allied flag you fought under. Look around and try to find the same level of monuments to American's who served in France here.

Please excuse the single pic posts. I have little idea what the hell I'm doing with this stuff. No kids around to help me! 😁
I have a couple vids I'll have the wife help me put em up tomorrow. Thanks for looking. France is a very nice country. We hear so often about them not liking Americans so much, most often folks in Paris. Well all six of us were in agreement. Everyone we came across was very nice and friendly.
Thanks for looking and feel free to ask questions, be glad to answer if I know.

The first two stained glass pics is a very interesting and absolutely touching story that I and the the other 5 of us never heard about D-Day. The private tour guide told us what these two American heroes did after they landed. It makes one even prouder to be American.
Here's what I found on line, well worth a read.

The second group of stained glass are from St Mere Eglise. Most of us know the story of the 101st jumper who landed in the spire of the church and was stuck up there for the battle. The pic above is an effigy of that soldier attached to church. I have vid of that hopefully the wife can pull it out and post. Notice the shoots in the stained glass.

The guy with the long hair and beard is our group is my nephew. He's a West Point Grad with two tours in Iraq. I tried to get him to go Navy but his maternal grandfather was Army who fought in WWII and was a tanker who's first and only battle was Okinawa and nephew was sold on Army.
