Get well big guy! I just saw the other thread in the daily digest of posts that had a link to this one. Missed it yesterday. Go slow and don't overdo things! I have a friend who had a similar experience, and he was in the hospital for a week and didn't get back to work for another week. He was an otherwise healthy guy, long distance bicycle rider, outdoorsman, hunter, etc.

To my Ruger Forum family and friends,
Since Sam let the cat out of the bag, I figured that I'd better get on here and let everyone know what is going on.
It's a PIA doing this using my phone, so I'm not going to post a lot until I get back to my computer.
First off, I'm humbled and grateful for all the support, kind words and especially the prayers offered in Sam's post.
Yes I'm in the hospital right now, but should be out this afternoon hopefully.
Pulmonary Embolism put me here. The procedure was to go in and vacuum out the blood clots. This was done Tuesday night.
I'm feeling better and all my vitals are normal.
I'm not going to try and make light of all this, but I know that the Good Lord has been with me. I've not been worried about it at all.

And I'm pushing to get out of here to be able to attend my FoNRA event tomorrow night. Miss Penny will make sure that I behave myself and not do anything that I shouldn't.

So again, MANY sincere thanks for all the support.

Glad to hear you're healing up. I had a bout with PE's back in 09 and DVT's off and on every couple years or so.
Since then I have been on one or another blood thinner and will have to remain on them for the duration. If your prognosis is the same be extra careful with sharp pointy things. It takes quite a while to stop bleeding. Otherwise life is pretty normal. Again glad to hear you're okay.
