Im a remington fan myself. Ive yet to buy a 700 that didnt shoot exceptionaly well and i cant say that about my rugers. That been said i probably own more rugers then the rest combined. Why? Because there the only manufacture that brings out really cool chamberings in so many differnt varitations.

Well, must be easy to please. Ruger, and I have shot a few, has delivered on any hunting requirements requested of it (what they were built for) from elk, to ground squirrels. Purple haze out to the 300-400 yard mark. I just have not found a need nor a place that I can see the critters any further, and if they are, I go to them.

Now I have bolted on some goodies, like Timney triggers and for 77/22's valquartsen barrels, for indoor silhouette. And all center fires, I roll my own, which has always improved performance of these rifles I will admit.

I will say that I never had anyone with me who shot Remington, Savage, or what ever, embarrass me.

I guess this just confirms, choice is what makes the world go round.
