I have never owned a center fire rifle, but have been thinking for a long time about acquiring a .204 heavy barrel rifle for target/ plinking. I don't hunt, and probably never will unless I somehow end up living in prairie dog country. I do prefer really accurate firearms.
I ran across this gun at CDNN for $590, including scope rings. 26 inch heavy barrel, laminated stock, stainless.
Here is the same gun in .223 at another site for $650 "As New, accepts Ruger scope mounts" so I guess they are demos or ?:

Since I know nothing about Ruger CF long guns, would someone fill me in on this CDNN rifle - how's the trigger? Is it the new adjustable two stage? I bet it ain't..... I expect the accuracy is pretty exceptional after bedding and floating the barrel.
The other rifle I have been considering is a Savage Model 12 of some sort. I don't want to buy used, and the low price of the CDNN Ruger M77 really caught my eye....
Thanks for any comments.
