Does anyone make checkered hardwood grips for a Redhawk? I have found hundreds of grips, with finger grooves or smooth wood, etc. I have yet to see any checkered wood though.

Hogues come checkered Tom, and I bet you Badger would checker theirs.

In fact, if you found the grips you liked there are guys that would checker them for you. Might be some here.

I like the factory wood on my Redhawk, but it would be perfect if the grips were narrowed a bit, and checkered. It is in 45 Colt and I do shoot some stout loads but I don't think it would be much worse than full house 44's in a S&W 629 with factory target grips.

If there is someone on the board that does this, I would lke to hear about their work.

If you find a set you liike drop me a line I have been checkering for a couple of years now and checker quite a few pistol grips. What I do on hard recoiling handguns is I don't make the final pass with the cutter. It gives you the look of checkering and a little more grip but does not turn into the meat grinder a lot of people don't like. Steve
