Changing the optic on my RAR 22

Maybe it seems like overkill but I just acquired a good quality 3-9x32 rimfire scope and decided to swap it onto the little RAR compact. There have been times when I really wanted more magnification than the basic fixed low power scope I'd originally mounted. With a bit of luck, the 3-9 scope will be just enough longer for the front bell to clear the folded rear sight. Guess I'll see tomorrow.

Results: With a 3-9x Sightron rimfire scope mounted and zeroed groups tightened up a little. I had a little more wind than optimal but 50 yard groups were 1"(ish) and 100 yard groups were in the 3" range. Those groups were only 1.25-1.5" vertical but 3" horizontal (wind influence). This may improve a wee bit since I did a thorough bore cleaning during the scope swap. Even this is as good as it gets, I'm satisfied that the accuracy is suitable for the purposes this rifle is used for. The suppressor changed POI about 3" @ 50 yards but it's a full time accessory so that's a one time adjustment.
