Can't find American Rimfire HMR

I'm wanting an American rimfire rifle, threaded barrel, 13.75 LOP, in .17 HMR with the OD green stock but have not been able to locate any on-line retailer with one in inventory. I've queried all of the on-line retailers I know plus used the Gallery of Guns engine to look. Gun.Deals produced a list but none of them have inventory. What's the dealio?

It's the 8336 model, btw. UPC: 736676083367

I found the same when last summer I was wanting one of the new Mark IV 22/45 Tactical pistols and couldn't find one for months. I know there was a recall for the safety and there was going to be a delay as Ruger made the necessary changes. Just wondering if the same type of issue (design change) is occurring with the American rifle in .17 HMR or if there's something else going on.

Anybody have one? How do you like it?

I'm pretty sure the green stocked American Rimfires were a distributor exclusive, that run may be over, and if so they are not gonna be as easy to find. GunBroker might be a good place to look. I know Whittaker guns sold a bunch of them, they have an on-line store too.

The #8336 is a Sports South exclusive. They show to be out of them today. Whittakers has carried these in the past and may still have some. I have a 8334, which is the same rifle in 22LR and it's a shooter. :wink: Bob!!!!

For mounting a muzzle brake or a silencer.

I'd be glad to share my experiences with the 17 HMR RAR but most have already heard them so I wasn't going into the whining details w/o a new audience.
