I turned 80 today Saturday, May 27th. To celebrate I am going down to Carson City (gas is cheaper there than in Reno) to the State Museum and Mint. Earlier this year I became the oldest in the family of FIVE generations. It is the second time it has happened in my family, only this time we are all males. In the previous five generations it was two males (me and my son, my mother, G'mother and G' G'grandmother) and three females. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone realized the 5 generations the first time around and I only did this time, due to my interest in genealogy. This eve, will celebrate (no family in my area) with a bottle of Ste Chateau Michelle Indian Wells Cabernet Sauvignon (one glass only as red wine tends to make me fall asleep) while watching an ANGELS game. Taking my Nikon so hope to get some good pics. May post later. Oh, can you believe it? The whole country is having a three day weekend in celebration of my B-Day and of course for those who have fallen. Peace and Blessings to all they left behind and may they all RIP.

Thanks to all for your warm wishes. I had a great birthday...until the ANGELS lost tonight. Oh, well.
While I was at the museum/mint, I bought a silver commemorative coin of the V&T RR. Next week they will be minting one with the U.S.S. Nevada Battleship which had an illustrious history at Pearl and at a nuclear test. The coin I bought today was half dollar size and had half oz. of silver in it. Hope to post pics I took inside the museum later, stay tuned.
