I recently purchased a 10 1/2 " 357 max barrel from a fellow form member. Would like to know what frame would work best for fitting this to. I already have a FT 357 50th anniv. Would this work? Thanks, Randy

Measure the max length between the front of the thread cut and the cylinder face. Threads are all the same on the 357 blackhawks I believe, but the FT anniversary (medium frame) may be shorter.

I would start with the full size Blackhawk frame and cylinder to get the most length for those heavy 357 magnums. :D :D

About 15 years ago I had a friend put this together for me - started life as a 6 1/2" Stainless Blackhawk. Added a 10" Shilen barrel, long SBH ejector rod housing, and a Super Blackhawk hammer. Added a EABCO scope mount and a Bushnell Elite 3200 2-6X scope and a Hogue grip. My original intent was to install a SBH grip frame, but I liked the way it felt with the Hogue grip. IT IS A SHOOTER !! I have used it in IHMSA silhouette, and I have fired a 40x40 score with it, using the Sierra 170 FMJ. I have always thought that Ruger missed the boat by not offering a long-barreled 357 Mag. ( I know, they did make a 10" Old Model !)

Hey guys, Thanks for all your feedback. I was wondering if I would be better off with a new model 357 large frame, instead of the new model flattop and if the barrel threads were the same. So that being said thats what I'll go with. Again, THANKS for all your help. :D :D P.S. braud357 I love that revolver of yours WOW!!
