@Cholo Here you go. I had thought before I posted about this that it might be something you would be interested in.

Edited To Add: I just went to the link & looked at it closer than I did the other night. If you hit the play icon there is a short video of the installation procedure & they show the difference in the tone of the horn before & after. We don't have it yet but I will install it as soon as we receive it.

I just finished installing the extra horn. It made a much bigger difference than I thought it would!

Mike J, your wife will like it!
Ours was just delivered this evening. I'm going to see if I can't install it after work tomorrow.

You will need a 13mm wrench for the big mounting nut and a 10mm wrench for the lever on the horn you have to adjust. That lever nut was a real bi*** and I had to clamp it in a padded vice to loosen it! I couldn't get a 3/8" ratchet on the big nut like in the video. Save some time and just use the 2 wrenches.

Okay, sounds like gear wrenches would be the ticket.

This was taken on February 14th, 2016, I called it my backup plan because I forgot to buy flowers. The car had just been delivered to the lot. We selected the options and ordered it and were able to track it as it moved along the production line where it was manufactured at the BMW Spartanburg plant in Greer, South Carolina. She wanted me to drive it home but I refused. She had made me do that with the last new car we had bought for her in 2009 and she never did get comfortable and it became may car eventually. I refused to drive the X6 for months and still rarely drive it. I still drive the 2009 and our 2000 Land Cruiser. We keep our cars a long time.

It is done. Yes, it is louder than I expected. That is good. I did mess myself up just a little. When I was tying the wires up I put a tie wrap through a very convenient hole. When I went to put the plastic trim back on one of the push pins wouldn't go in. I had to take it back off remove the tie wrap & finish the job. Well worth the cost.

Long story short the 2004 Ford Explorer my wife has been driving for the last 13 years is pretty much worn out. I broke down & bought her a new Honda CRV LX. I didn't want to take on a payment but it should last her for a long time. It took about 3 hours from the time we got to the dealership until we left. The scary part is probably the better part of half that time was spent with the salesman showing her all the different features of the vehicle & how to use them properly. We were also delayed a bit because the states system for tag application was down.
It is somewhat interesting that the salesman asked her if she wanted all the doors to unlock when she stopped & put the vehicle in park. She told him no. He seemed surprised. She told him she only wanted the drivers door to automatically unlock. He seemed puzzled as to why. She explained that it could give someone the opportunity to attack you. I told him it was about avoidance. You could see the light bulb go off in his head. I guess he never thought about it.
I bought a brand new Honda CRV in 2000. Had it for 10 years put 100,000 miles on it, then gave it to my daughter & son in law. They put another 100,000 miles on it then they sold it to a neighbor who still drives it once in a while.
You can not go wrong with a Honda! My wife has a 2014 Honda Pilot with 150, 000 miles on it, still going strong.
Great SUVs!
I have a 2014 Dodge 100 Anniversary Challenger with about 32,000 miles in it. Sweet ride!

I bought a 2023 Honda CRV EX L last April. It's a nice car, quiet, too! I think there are a few things you should be aware of.

1) No TPMS system. It only tells you that you have a low tire. It's up to you to figure out which one and if it's 1# under minimum or going flat. Get up to speed, Honda!

2) Windshield washer fluid tank is only 2.5 quarts. Mine was dry in 2k miles so top it off often. It def. won't last between oil changes.

3) It comes with 2 "keys", numbered 1 and 2 on the back of the fob. If you want them to do the same functions you'll have to program them the same. The dealer only programmed key 1 for me so I thought key 2 was defective.

3) Your phone can run Google Maps without a cable, not all cars can. It uses very little phone battery power to run Google Maps, so you don't need your phone plugged in. Cool! 😎

YouTube is your friend for tech questions. Your salesperson is probably not the "tech" guy. Find out who is and go directly to them with questions.

You can turn off most of the things that beep and annoy you. You'll love the adaptive cruise control! I thought I'd hate all the technology; I don't.

The gas mileage indicator is a liar. Mine gets about 2.5 mpg under what the car says I'm getting, like usual.

The infotainment center seems daunting at first. When you get used to it you'll realize that Honda hit a home run with it. Things just make sense.
I just bought a new Civic Hatchback EX-L last week.
The owner's manual is 850 pages, with 40 of those covering the use of the cruise control. 😳

I thought I would update. We have found one thing we don't like about the 2024 CRV. The horn simply isn't loud enough. My wife went online & did some research (there is a CRV owners forum) & found the solution. There is a kit sold by a Honda dealer that adds a second horn. There is already a mounting hole for a second horn. The kit includes a wiring harness that connects both horns to the existing connector (it is all plug & play-no splicing). The second horn gives a combined high low sound that is supposed to be much louder than the stock horn. We have not received the kit yet. It was about $50. Once installed I will update the result.
I'd like to get one of those for my new Civic and also for the wife's 2017 Accord.
That Roadrunner beep-beep just doesn't cut it.
It's like bringing a little pen knife to a gun fight.

I simply can't imagine why. My 2023 Honda CR V cruise works just like my full size 2014 Nissan van. Hit the cruise button and push the toggle up (+). Each tap up or down is 1 mph. Then in the same area just set the distance you want to maintain from the vehicle ahead of you. Again, just a push of a button.

Maybe so, but I haven't found the button yet.
Gimme some slack though, I'll turn 80 this year - and that ain't mph.
Not only 80, but what about us super seniors who have never been able to read and comprehend like a normal person; it takes some of us much longer to read a paragraph (let alone a book) and comprehend it.... I yearn for the old days when I dummy could jump into a car and turn on the heat or A/C without needing a !@#$%g video.

It should look similar to this 2022 Civic steering wheel. It's all in the small cluster on the right side of the steering wheel. I know this pic is large.

1) Press the icon of the car with the speedometer. This turns the CC on.

2) Press the toggle switch in the center up once and your CC is now working. To set it precisely click the toggle up or down to raise/lower your speed. Each tap is 1 mph.

3) You'll see a button with 4 dashes. This sets the distance you want to keep from the car in front of you. I like it set where I'm closest to the car in front of me so I think it leaves only one of those 4 dashes showing.

4) You're done!

To cancel push the cancel button or hit the brakes. Adaptive cruise control is simply great! It does not work well on curvy roads/highways.

Seeing this has now become a horn discussion I've got to ask if I'm the only one in the world that almost, OK pretty much
never use one? I get the point sorta of a warning ( sorta anyway ) but think the time spent going for the horn might be
better spent doing some kind of avoidance action. Maybe say brakes or steering, possibly accelerating?
Maybe if you're lurking in somebody's "blind spot" and they start to change lanes into you and you'd left yourself
no option. Of course you still have brakes or deceleration....
EDIT....damn I just had an idea...NASCAR should install horns, can you imagine the sound of it all in the last 5-10 laps?
I only use my horn to wake up the nimrods stopped in front of me at red lights who are either sleeping or looking down at their cellphones 5 or 10 seconds after the light has turned green.
Life is too short for me to sit there waiting for them to move on.

I have not used my horn to honk at other drivers doing something careless while moving.
Don't want to generate a road rage response, especially one that brings the jacketed lead.
I just take evasive action and move away from the bad drivers.

I use a horn to wake people up in traffic. If I am passing someone & they suddenly drift into my lane, (not really a lane change just sloppy driving), I wake them up. Yes I take evasive action at the same time. It isn't an either or proposition. I do both at the same time. I picked up the habit of using the horn to make people aware I was there when I rode a motorcycle. Too many people do not pay attention.

My Bride of some nearly 61 years has a 1996 Buick Roadmaster sedan.......Ir will turn 99K soon and when I , as well as she, had offers to purchase from some elderly fellows lusting after the similar car they once owned, She crisply told each that "you do not have enough money to buy MY car". She was asked by one of them today and she shut the conversation down........She also proclaims "that car is so fast it could get me in trouble".
