I remember all of that and the scrap collectors coming around... and this is the jeep my dad made me as "bought" toys were non-existent. Truly the glory (free) days, though.

The rag man as we called him came around in his horse drawn wagon collecting stuff like old rags and other stuff.

Anybody remember "Spin and Marty"?

That was a favorite of mine. About 5 years later, when I was 15 I worked a summer thaking care of the horses and general duties. I was the Cheif Pile It.
