i promise i'm not trying to start a bunch of crap!
i field strip both guns about every 500 rounds - the sr9, maybe more just because it's easy.
i ALWAYS have cleaned the bore and on BOTH guns after shooting ANY amount.
first, brush through, then a cleaning patch until clean...umm, just because i thought that's what you are supposed to do.
i came across an old thread here where some folks said not to use the brush on the 22cal. they said if they every clean it at all, just a patch until clean.
i don't think i've every read anything on the sr9 about using the brush.
sooooo,
no. 1 - am i over cleaning? esp on the 22? lay off the brush?
no. 2 - if i should use the brush on the sr9, should i use it every time or just occasionally?
no 3 - is 500 rounds about right for a field strip for both?
once again, looking for some opinions, not trying to start a war - thanks!
