That's the song you wanted for the last dance of the evening with your sweetie, close and slow. Didn't get better than that.

Some songs just can't be topped. Here's one that does, recorded right here on Lookout Mtn Ga.:

I met Santo and Johnny once more by accident than anything else. I was stationed at Nellis AFB at the time and it was either late 62 or early 63 as I recall. I was stuck with this blind date blonde and not getting along too well. We were off the main drag and here in a little out of the way club they were playing away. Got to talking with them during one of the breaks and that hag I was with was hitting on them something awful. They didn't like her any more than I did so they called a cab and sent her home. We talked music and had a few drinks and had a pretty good time. Couple of really nice guys that were not stuck up at all.
I never much messed with the main drag clubs when I was stationed in Vegas. Found some really good entertainment though in the off the wall places. Frankly, I really hated that town back then. Still do.

Quoted for truth. I just listened to several versions of the original, and now believe that it can't be topped. Others have done it well, but originals are where it all started.
