I purchased a couple of ruger brass grip frames and a ruger birds head grip frame locally. I was wondering a few things; first, is the brass grip frame new model or old model; second what would be the value of each item; and third, if the brass grip frames were new model, can they be converted to old model. The packaging gives a web address of http://www.qpr-inc.com but that is now invalid.
Thanks for your help.

The "non-bird's head" grip frame appears to be a QPR XR3-RED (Old Model) that's been modified to handle the New Model action. The "milled out" section exposes the OM trigger spring bore............

The Bird's Head appears to have a narrow trigger slot which would NOT accept any New Model trigger....... so, it's probably an Old Model design, but......remove the grips and look!
