Blackhawk Front Sight Question

How does ruger attach the front sight to the barrel of the Blackhawk/Super Blackhawk???

The sight base is silver soldered on.

The Blued guns have a sight blade and base that are all one piece. The stainless guns have a blued blade that is pinned into the stainless steel base.
