I have a blackhawk 357 with 6 1/2 inch barrel. Serial number is 32-61xxx

Ruger website says 2018, no way this shipped in 2018 as it doesn’t have the warning label stamped on the barrel. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Kelly

Put in your number.
Hit Search.
Scroll down and see this:
You can view approximate starting serial number (by year) for products prior to 2000 using the selection box below.

Select your gun model, get the date.

What is this Ruger website that gives the manufacture date? I also have a Ruger .357 with a 6 1/2" barrel.

Yes, you may have to view different pages, depending on New Model or Old Model, or even other variations, including different calibers.

A feller may need to enter a serial number, and when that doesn't pan out, use the pull downs for all the different models and variations.

All the info on the Ruger site and RENE are date ranges.
For specifics you need to pay Ruger for the verification letter.
This is NOT the case with newer Ruger model look ups. For these newer model(post 1973), go to https://ruger.com/dataProcess/serialHistory/. There you just enter in the serial number, and it gives you info on when it was made and the model number as well.
