I recently acquired this pristine example from a Forum member. Great addition to my collection of early Flattops.

Wow! Right on the cusp. Have you been able to get an actual mfg. or shp date?
For a long time I've believed that the majority of the type 1's begin at SN 200, mainly because of JD's book claim that #200 was the earliest sn shipped on the first day...something like 50 guns in all. And the earliest Type 1's all seem to be right in that 2xx, 3xx range.
The only exception that I know of is the #4 that is a true type I and was probably handed to Walt Berger right off the line.
If there was an actual mfg. date for #233, it might be a closer date as to when the true type 2 started to be made, which could be of help for verifying true type 1's.
