No. But this might interest you.Does anyone have the book Big Bore Six Guns by John Taffin? If so any comments you have. Thanks.
Thanks!I have all of John Taffin's books, and each and every one is WELL worth the price paid...And then some.
I would suggest you get into reloading. A little expensive depending what gear you buy. Well worth the investment long term. I am still using my first press after 45+ years.I thought most of his books are about reloading. I'm not a reloader, so I didn't read any of his books.
The price you show here for .45 ACP is utterly incorrect. You can readily get online .45 ACP ammo for .$40-$50/rd, and .45LC for .$55-$.70 per round. Prior to COVID, I looked into getting all the necessary reloading equipment for my two .357 Mag Ruger revolvers and my .45LC Ruger revolver. It turned out then that the cost of the reload equipment would have cost me equivalenmt to purchasing up to 1,000-2,000 manufactured rounds, so I did not get back into reloading. I use to reload back in the early '70s. Today, this ratio is onlly slightly better for reloading since the price of ammo has gone back down consuderably, and with some calibers, close to pre COVUD days. Of course, to some the act of reloading is rewarding in of itself, and is not just a financial advantage, but it is quite time consuming.I would suggest you get into reloading. My .45 acp loves 185 grain gold dots. For a while factory ammo was about $1.90 per shot. Ouch. I can reload them for about 50 cents. Just my opinion
