Before there was Daisy Duke, there was Elly May.Oh I enjoy these old episodes too.
In '62, I would have been nine.
And just a couple years later, I discovered Elly May was RED HOT.

Maybe this is where Joe Biden got the idea of, "Just fire two blasts in the air."
So did I, the first time it was on TV.I was looking at some AR15 information/tests on YouTube.
A pop up video jumped onto the page
Season 1 Epidode 1 of The Beverly Hillbillies. From 1962.
I watched the entire episode. Have to admit. I enjoyed the heck out of it![]()
I think it was the same thing with Mary Ann on Gilligan's Island. But she was still hotYou know Jeannie was not allowed to show her belly button?
Those were a different and in many ways better time for TV... I think in about '68 or '70 we got a third channel to watch.
I'm the only guy I know who always picks Ginger over Mary Ann. Yes, I know she's a self-centered high-maintenance PITA, but DAMN, she's still HOT!I think it was the same thing with Mary Ann on Gilligan's Island. But she was still hot![]()
I think Joe Biden and Jerry Nadler fire 2 blasts frequently but the 2nd one is wet....Maybe this is where Joe Biden got the idea of, "Just fire two blasts in the air."

Annette Funicello also was not allowed to show her belly button in the Beach movies. Walt Disney wouldn't allow it because she had been a Mouseketeer and he didn't think it was properYou know Jeannie was not allowed to show her belly button?
Met "Elly May" Donna Douglas at a dance at my Moose Lodge back in the late 70's or early 80's, she was just as sweet and kind and pretty in person as she was on the TV show. Our neighbor met Max Baer in California when he returned from Vietnam, Max gave him and his friends his phone card and told them all to call home and talk as long as they wanted. Wish I could have met Granny and had some of her rheumatiz medicine and vittles, nutin like a batch of home cooked turnip greens and possum inards with some pickled buzzard eggs and maybe a little bowl of snider swamp surprise, Mmmm mmm now that would be some good eatingOh I enjoy these old episodes too.

The best thing about possum innards stew is, it's even better the next dayMet "Elly May" Donna Douglas at a dance at my Moose Lodge back in the late 70's or early 80's, she was just as sweet and kind and pretty in person as she was on the TV show.
