Although not a big fan of snubbies they do have a place. About 6 or 7 yrs ago wanting a small concealable gun for the times a full size carry gun wouldn't be practical and as usual short of cash I bought this little Taurus 85. It has been and is a good little gun. The fit and finish are excellent as is the trigger in both single and double action and it shoots where I point it. A lot of rds downrange including more that a few +Ps and it's still as tight as the day I bought it. I like this gun and being a shooter not a trader or collector, if offered an even up trade for a small S&W, I'd probably turn it down. :)

I've had several Taurus revolvers and never had an issue with them. Great guns for the money.

Heck, my wife has been carrying a model 85 for a couple of decades now. It works for her, so she sees no since in mucking about.

I've read this thread title seven times and it still makes no sense whatsoever.

Care to take another crack at it? :? :?

hey , it made us look....nice gun, and we know many that have them and love them...Taurus has come a LONG way from back when we had the shop and had to at least "try" and work on them............kudos to the "new" management........................

My Dad-n-law has the .357 version and we think its Ok.. He got it from an instructor friend of mine that used it to help lots of people get their CHL. He did some amazing 100yd shooting with it to prove the weapon is capable, you need to perform ! It got loaned out and traded around a lot. I do need to be careful not to let any of my Ruger BH only loads near it. stevemb

My wife shoots a nice little 85 Stainless in a 3" barrel. With wood grips and a nice little Tom Threeperson holster it makes a great trailgun. It has been 100% reliable and had a better factory trigger than the Smith and Wessons we looked at at the same time.

If it goes bang every time you pull the trigger, it is a good gun. It does not matter what brand it is.

If you like a gun and think it looks good, it is a good looking gun.
