Long ago I bought a bench block which I could not find a use for so I took the "V" cut out on my grinder to make a deep channel, smoothed it out and lined it with suede. I now have a more stable platform for inserting parts in Ruger Single actions. Just an idea for those who like me used their knees to hold the revolver while re-assembling it.

I have a few bench blocks myself. One,, was just a plain block,, no holes, grooves, channels etc. It was made to be custom cut for the user's needs. I have done exactly that too! But I have a set of frame blocks when needed.
