Went to the range today with 3 other people, who used to be my "friends". Did some general shooting with our own guns, then tried out each others'.
Person 1: Beretta 92 - 9mm
Person 2: H&K USP - 45acp
Person 3: Glock 21 - 45acp
Me : Ruger SR1911 - 45acp
Everyone that tried MY gun put rounds (plural) in the bullseye. Everyone was standing and shooting off hand at 15 yards. I scared the bullseye, but (excuse warning) have a natural shake. All other firearms used surrounded and scared the hell out of the bullseye, but failed to enter it. All three used-to-be friends made comments of what a nice shooting gun and commented on how accurate it was.
When someone asks if the gun is accurate, my answer is the very true statement, "It shoots better than I do".
Now to redeem my self. We played some games after the general target shooting, using our own guns. The games were all done at 15yards standing off hand. I won the shoot the golf ball from it's perch. I won tic-tac-toe without getting to take the first shot. I tied for shooting the eyes out of the smiley face. I lost shooting 2 buck teeth on the same smiley face, I pulled the second tooth. I lost the shoot the black dot drawn on a grade stake (a wood stake driven in the ground, the stake is one inch wide.
For some reason I can consistently shoot non-conventional targets much better. Anyone else share this "problem"?
