BASES FOR OLDER RUGER 1V

HAVE RUGER #1V OLDER MODEL WITH SCOPE BLOCKS 7 INCHES APART. RUGER SAID REGULAR BASES WERE SOLD YEARS BACK TO ACCOMODATE REGULAR SCOPE. GUN NEEDED TO BE DRILLED AND TAPPED. RUGER HAS NO MORE AVAILABLE. ANYBODY HAVE ANY? THANKS JIM BURGER [email protected]

Welcome to the RugerForum. I'm a little confused, but maybe I just don't understand what you're asking. Ruger should have plenty of the 1V bases as they are still making this model. The target bases for the early guns are scarce as hens teeth. If you have a very early 1V (especially a non-prefixed gun), I'd think twice about D&Ting it for the later bases. It will seriously affect the value. Then again, if you want to shoot it you do need some sort of bases. Good luck.
