I am 69 years old my thought on this is I think after a certain age say 50 you are too old to wear your cap backwards. It's for the younger guys just my opinion

I lived and worked in a lot of full-on sunshine. Most all companies I worked for required we wear their branded Hats.
My skin doctor is still carving the evidence off well into my retirement.
Do your futureself a favor and forget baseball caps! Save your ears and neck,,,,,,,Always use full brimmed hats.

My understanding is that the bill straight to the front or back indicates no gang affiliation; the bill tilted to the side, indicates a gang affiliation. At least, among 'urban utes.' I have recently begun wearing my cap with the bill to the rear when working on some projects. It keeps me from having to pick it up off the ground after I knock it off.

I don't wear hats too much anymore, but when I do wear a baseball cap, it's always the bill to the front and a stylish curve to the bill. I picked it up a long time ago when I played baseball. Only time it ever goes to the back is if there's some reason for it to get out of the way of the work I'm doing.
The one thing that bothers me is when people buy hats and then leave all of the stickers on the bill and tag hanging off the back. I guess just so you'll know it's new or something. I've never figured that out.

Doh!!!!
Is it just me or do the rest of you see this all the time?

There is one better/dumber than this, the guy has the cap backward, & his sunglasses on the back as well, & using his hand t shade the sun.

Otherwise, if ya need to shield the back of your neck when welding, or ya plan on motorboating in a shoe bar.

At what "age" do you quit wearing it backward? When you no longer want to look goofy.

Exceptions? Baseball catchers or umpires is about all I can think of. It never worked for me on a motorcycle.

If I wear a ball cap I wear it with the bill in front. I don't seem to wear them as much as I used to.

I've NEVER (to my fading memory anyway) worn a 'ball' (AKA seed corn for the obvious advertising often seen on them)cap backward except when using a welding helmet. Haven't done that since I found more comfortable headbands for the helmets.
