Will SR40 or SR9 barrel work in SR40C or SR9C? I know it defeats the purpose, but [beep] Canadian laws limit the minimum barrel length.
Also, will any of the full size gun barrels work in LC9 or LCP?

I am not sure but my guess would be yes. But it sounds like you are trying to get around a law and when a gun is involved I suggest not trying to do it. Not worth the trouble in my opinion.

Doesn't seem like the bearing pad on the barrel would mate with the bushing surface in the slide, damaging accuracy. And the SR barrels probably wouldn't mate with the LC slide openings.

Not sure how familiar you are with Canadian laws, but here's the gist: the law only controls the length of the barrel and is not concerning itself with the model of the firearm. Re-barreling is perfectly legal.

There's a company up here that is working to bring Canada legal LCRs on the market. These gonna look funny too.

I knew there was a length requirement but that is it.

I have experimented with the old P-guns Ruger makes and you can drop in a P94 barrel into a P93. Makes it look like an extended barrel but it is factory.

I would think you could do that with a SR series too but have no experience with it.

Look at the two manuals on Ruger's website and compare. If you can get a barrel off gunbroker for 40 - 60 bucks might be worth a try. Of course if you have the barrel length restriction in Canada how are you gonna get the compact gun to start with?

When Sr9 barrel is installed in SR9c the bearing ring on barrel is 1/4 inch ahead of slide and so barrel is loose in slide, i started to put slide on frame but it wanted to jam so i did not proceed any farther. With .010 play between barrel and slide, accuracy would be poor if barrel could be made to work. SR barrel is completely different than the LC9 barrel, it is also .075 in. smaller in dia. and breach is .078 in. narrower.

Can anyone post a picture of their SR40 and SR40C barrels side by side, aligned on the breech end?

If the tapers were at the same distance from the breech, which would make sense, the long bbl would work in the C.
Seeing them side by side would surely help.
