BANDED FRONT SIGHT ON BLACKHAWK

Does anyone know of a Ruger banded front sight, that has barrel dimensions the same or close to the dimensions of a .45 Blackhawk. I want to modify a banded front sight for my pet project.

I have a few Ruger rifle front sight barrel bands of differing diameters as I was once kicking around mounting one on a custom Blackhawk. I think I conculded that the base would be too high and require a very low sight blade to work. I'll have to did through my parts boxes and see if I can find them.

I am planning on decking the height and length of the actual sight base, and width of the band.

calls for too high a rear sight, but go for it, it'll LOOK good,but shoot real low........save it for rifles ,where it belongs,but thats just MY .02 cents........
