What determines whether you get a bag or a hard shell case with your 10/22? I've seen both. Better protection with the hard shell case, but a lot more storage in the soft bag.

I've been thinking about getting a TD but I would rather not advertise it's presence as it travels around with me. All of the cases seem to either be some glaring color or have a NRA or Ruger or USA Shooting Team emblems on them. I like the soft case....are there any available in lets just say, subdued themes?

Everybody who works at any of the airports you travel through and has access to a 'flight' computer knows that there is a gun in that container, regardless of what it looks like.....

They have access to all of your data so I ain't worried bout them folks. I ride a motorcycle with a sidecar. So being able to strap a long gun aboard is very doable. I am always looking for new ways to keep my "status" on the down low.
