Are People That Stupid or Do They Just Think They Are

I was just perusing some camping equipment on eBay and came across something that made me wonder if people are really that stupid or do some of these sellers just think they are? I ran across these identical cot tents, one selling for $311.68 the other $1,209.99.

...as you can see if you click the links the pictures are identical and the cot tents appear to be identical too. Are people really that stupid that they would pay three times the price of something they can find by scrolling down a few items on a page or is the seller the one that is (apparently) on drugs?

When you start comparing prices on Amazon and ebay you notice that a lot. Then you have to check the shipping where you might find more surprises.

I was looking for a personal area light (splashlight) found them at amazon for around $5 a few spots away was the same light for $59, wonder if people actually buy the more expensive identical item.

Many years ago, the same weekend JFK Jr was killed, my wife and I and my boys were camping at a state park north of here. It was hot....the campers next to us were from St Louis, young and upwardly mobile...they had more expensive gear than you could believe, and no idea how to use it. My boys, who were all scouts went over and showed them how to set up tents, set up stoves and even some of their chairs..it was hot....one of the young ladies kept looking at her face in the mirror and saying, "My God, I'm melting..." We felt sorry for them and invited them over for burgers and chips with sweet tea...we even let one of the ladies sit in our air conditioned camper to cool off. Thr following morning my boys were over there helping them cook...

On the other side of us was a couple with some kids right out of God's Little Acre. Hillbillies....he was drunk fairly early and set himself on fire..she left with the kids and the sheriff showed up to warn him...that was intersting..
