What is the coolest thing you have seen lately. I like these giant RC Jets. Wish I spoke German.
You don't have to watch the whole thing. RC F-104 STARFIGHTERS

When I'm given a link to youtube, often on this forum, I'll usually check it out... and some of the others that show up on the page that sound interesting. Sometimes entertaining, sometimes informative. All too often, though, youtube gives folks with nothing to say a place to say it.

I like to watch/listen to music. Sometimes it's just a photo of the album with a song or album playing or a live performance from a tv show or music video. Other songs that pop up can be an interesting trip. The worse are live performances in a club done with someone's cell phone. Those I won't watch.

I enjoy a lot of documentaries on Youtube. Serious stuff like Ancient Aliens ya know. Trouble is that I can't figure out how to get Closed Captioning on Youtube when I watch it on the TV through the ROKU thing. Videos on smoking foods, Wild West Tech, old military training films and stuff. Even have a couple videos myself showing how I made tools that help other leather crafters with physical limitations. The TV Youtube setup is a pain though to scan for interesting topics because of the slow typing needed in the search feature. So I tend to keep a paper and pen when scanning on the laptop and jot down some titles. Don.

I don't use utube for entertainment.

I also only use utube for educational reasons. I find it very educational while being entertained by The History Channel, Great Planes, RC Flying of large planes, all of the Victory at Sea, The Silent Service, and so many more educational and entertaining programs.

Jimbo,
What I find fascinating with the large RCs is the radial engines that they now use. But since we have a big radial, P&W 1340 bolted to the front of our SNJ-4 you can understand why.

I thought this was pretty cool. It's the Danish National Symphony Orchestra performing Ennio Morricone's theme from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"...:

I watch a ton of live music on there when I do have time to sit and relax or else it's at least playing in the background while I'm doing something. I also like a lot of the old shows from back before the history channel became a reality TV channel. Lots to find on there that is better than anything on regular TV!

I do like to check out those rc planes too! Very cool stuff. I also got stuck watching hours of rc construction equipment one rainy weekend and would love to have some of those toys!

Ditto, except that I listen to the likes of Son House (delta blues) & Jack White (rock/blues) for relaxation (headphones) while I'm online here & other firearms forums.

Hi,

Sticker on cowling near the engine of a well-known local pilot/instructor's T-6, done up in Army colors:

"If God intended aircraft engines to be flat, Pratt & Whitney would have made them that way."

I really like a website named Townsends, he does reenacting of the 1800s, primarily cooking and other skills..he's really good, entertaining, and leaves you with real knowledge of how our ancestors did things.

I especially like his cooking shows, but he doesn't just do recipes. He shows you how to build an oven, how to prepare, meats, vegetables, herbs etc...it's really multi-layered and fun.

His article on tobacco was really interesting...

he periodically goes live where you can ask questions.

I too visit for help fix this or that, but I accidentally found one where bullies pick on people and get knocked out with one unexpected punch for being ...bullies.
