I found this thing in the back yard, I can't say what it goes to, but it appears at one time that the rims held wooden spokes. Any ideas?

Looks like old tractor front end parts to me. Have a look at this old "Deere"

Check out the triange or "A" frame at the arrow.

That sir is a genuine doohickey. :lol:

I'm pretty sure that's the front axle of an old trailer. The ball would attach to the center line of whatever is pulling it and the two rods coming off of the spindles would usually attach to points left and right of the center line to turn the wheels of the trailer with the direction of travel. We used something like that on the farm back in the day. But I could be wrong.

Well, I was wrong. Model T Ford. Check out this parts catalog. The guys at the Ford Tractor forum I belong to came up with the answer.
