I've found some information on some lever guns manufactured slightly earlier but no slide action.
Coming up in a local auction.

How exactly does it work? Looks like the slide is all the way back (locked open) but I can't see the bolt back and the hammer isn't cocked....

I know Burgess pump shotguns don't work like the Colt and Browning and Pedersen slide action designs, but I'm darned if I can see how this thing DOES work. Anybody know?

Yeah, the pix help a lot. Still seems clear why this interesting but complex design didn't last. Even "conventional" pumps are complex enough....tho if anybody has got a Remington Model 25 that they were about to throw away, or a 12CS......send it my way; I'll even pay the freight!
