Anyone carry two knives? For work? For the heck of it?

I used to lose so many pocket knives that I just carry one cheapo. However, now that I am retired I have yet to lose one. So I may go to a better knife OR TWO. Lord knows that I have a bunch to choose from!

I did of you count multi-tools. Usually that and a larger sized pocket knife. Mostly a Spyderco. At times I also stick a small one Xacto style retractable in my shirt pocket.

Then again I always had a light weight knife from Havalon that uses replaceable scalpel blades in my laptop bag.

Rather then actually LOSE my knife, I misplace it and usually find it in a day or so.

If I have my pants on I have a knife unless I'm somewhere it isn't allowed. Unless I'm at work the Kershaw Link is it. If I am at work I still have the Kershaw in my pocket but I have a razor knife in my apron. Depending on what I am doing there is a pretty good chance I might have a Malco Duct knife (used for cutting insulation or flexible air duct) in my pouch. So depending on what I'm doing I might have one I might have three.

Been carrying a full tang sheath knife since I was a Boy Scout (different times), and starting carrying a back-up folder as of about 2015. I would never carry a folder as my primary blade. Even the highest quality brands depend on that single little hinge pin.

Always carry a Buck 110 or a fixed blade always a clip point.

Often I will have a traditional slip joint in my pocket for fun. I really like the LoomFixer pattern. The large Sheepsfoot and pen blades compliment the large clip point.

I have a Buck 110 and would never be able to carry it into many places I have gone into. However, with my Benchmade Barrage folder, I can drop it into my pocket and no problems...

Just one here. A Gerber 4660820A Skeleton folder. It's as big as two smaller folders. Plus a bigger Hunter 406 folder letter opener on the desk. Over the years I've built a fairly good knife collection that fills a Craftsman roll-away. It all started when I rep'd Track Knives out of White Fish Montana back in the 70's. To this day I'll still jump on any knife that's a little..'odd'...

I have carried this lttle lockback (2 3/4" blade) from Frost Cutlery for several years. The handles were "second cut stag" which were a bilous greenish color. I scorched the handles with a propane torch then polished with paste wax. Thestainless steel blade is, like most, "surgical steel" which I reckon is good if one has to resrt to that. But it awfully handy.

Speaking of carrying two knives. After an unfortunate incident when I needed my 110 with its attached "flick it". And couldn't reach into my bunkers right pocket with my left hand. I started carrying one in each pocket.

I have carried a knife ever since I was about 5 or 6. But just one though.

For the past 5 years, it's been this fella, or one of his siblings. They're all Spartan Blades Pallas button lock folders. I have never found a knife that fits my hand so well. I have 2 in S35VN, 2 in S45VN and 1 in Magnacut. I'll be getting the Blackout Magnacut version soon, to round out the family.

I have carried these 2 for about 20 years now. Different jobs require different knives. View attachment 56425
I keep my old Boker auto in the overhead sunglasses compartment of my Jeep along with a compact flashlight. It came in handy cutting my way out of the airbags that deployed when I was hit head-on almost five years ago. I couldn't reach my Benchmade AFO in my pocket.

I've always got at least 2 on me. Both are Swiss Army Victorinox knives, a Cadet with alox scales and a small key chain model with tooth pick, tweezers, etc.

There was a farmer on another site who said he carried two identical fixed blades one on each side. Incase he got arm tangled up in machinery.

His story as I remember it:

He said his Grandfather gave him a fixed blade when he started working. He told him to keep it sharp there could be a time he needed to amputate his own arm to save his life.

He thought about it for a minute and asked his grandfather what if its the arm on that side? and I can't reach the knife.

Next day his Grandfather gave him a second knife. Within a week all his uncles and grandfather had 2 knives on.
