Haven't seen too many Bearcat photos/stories lately. I bought this one in a pawn shop some months ago. One of my favorite finds......... SN 119. :) And it shoots great!

Wow, that's awesome! Those low numbered Bearcats are difficult to find!

Not too long ago an "S" gun was discovered.

Very nice hard to find old Bearcat. Just Sat night I heard about a 3 digit Bearcat that sold recently at a show for under $300 and was almost mint. I tried like the dickins to get the owners info,,,!

I bought my first Ruger in 1963. I never ran across a 3 digit Bearcat that wasn't in a collection. That's a hard gun to find.

nice! I'll see your #119 and raise you with #120!

AAH HAA!! Thats where it is..........I've heard about "120" from Chad! :D At least I know where it is! 8) Very nice, indeed. My "119" has been shot and carried some and is not near as nice as yours, but than it is older.

Let's see if this works.....here's a photo of a factory "second" marked Bearcat that I recently stumbled across, shipped in May of 1965.

here is my son's that you've all seen before. Its one Alan Harton did a couple years ago with a Clements rear sight. He welded up the topstrap to perfectly mate with the rear after he reshaped it. The barrel warning was turned under the ejector rod housing and the old sight slot was welded up before adding a new front sight and base. Fluted the cylinder and then finished up the cylinder with a nice Alan Harton BP bevel. Polished the housing and he did an AWESOME action job on it and refit the stocks to the gun. Hoping to have a set of sheep horn stocks fit to it before too long and I've been meaning to order a Keith style base pin.

Then, of course, the ultimate Bearcat accessory....

How about a home grown version. Zeus, at some point I'm going to have either Hamilton or Alan to that same package to this one....
