I've been discussing a .357 Flattop with a guy on another forum. It should be a Type 1. Serial number 5724 & with a 4-5/8" bbl.
His plans are to have it customized.
(And yes,, I tried to politely convince him otherwise.)

Yes, Tyrone nicely suggested he use a protected ear gun and I said CUT IT UP ( I did have him check to make sure it was not a Ross gun first, see I am not a total heretic !)

Interesting, Ty. Please confirm the front sight having the "wavy lines" of the Type 1 guns and having the "normal" blued finish. There was a little tomfoolery right in that serial number range involving a series of guns case-hardened at the factory, numbered in the Type 1 range, but not shipped until two years into the Type 2 range, and having type 2 features.
