GB #156599064 closed with $1675 +$45 shipping as the winning bid. For the record, there were only 3 bidders... the first bid placed was never overtaken.

So now we know the true market value of one of those very rare guns! This wasn't advertised as NIB but looked as-new, with all the trimmin's.

Now we've got to find out where the other 24 are?

I guess I'm too old to hold onto one long enuf to make a profit. Bummer! I'd like one.
Ya know, for about the same money, you could buy a six-shot and have Hamilton Bowen or John Linebaugh turn it into a five-shot .480 with a new line-bored cylinder. I'd rather have one of their guns instead of that stock Ruger.

I was referencing the "true market price" as-determined by a true auction. "Fjestad's, are you watching?" Frankly I was bettin' it would get closer to 2K, just for the museum keepers out there.

Not implying Id buy one, as I'm happy with the longer-barreled 480s I have and shoot. I just don't run across many angry fishing bears in my travels.
