I am seeing signs that plenty of product is finally starting to catch up
with demand.
Stacks of 7.63, stacks of .223, stacks of 9mm all at my local gun store today. They have been out a while in any kind of quantity.
Ammotogo online sales we are starting to see 50 round 9mm JHP for $29
which isn't a great deal, but it's not $50 bucks either.
The classifieds are showing more and more people that loaded up starting to sell, , there is starting to be some good deals.
I also have seen a place that has Winchester Ranger 124 grain +p+ for $199 a case of 500.
$20 bucks a box! That is the same price as 2 years ago.
I am going to go out on a short limb and say the drought for the major calibers is nearing an end. We will still see some people trying to recoup their money that bought high, but more and more good deals are to be had.
About 2 months before I thought it would end.
Told ya so, to all the chicken littles.

Sounds like music to my ears!!!
We still need some factory .38 Specials and .357 Mags and .45 Colts. We only use factory ammo for our CCW and home defence and like to shoot some factory after practicing with handloads.

That's nice but it isn't happening here in Indiana.

Saw ammo at one of the local shops here today... prices are still higher than they should be. They had a two box limit on ammo. So I bought two Rem UMC Megapacs of .223

I'm sure that there will still be a rush to stock up on ammo for the 'next' time ammo dries up. I think a lot had to do with MFG's waiting to see if the 'ammo accountability act of 2009' was going to pass in Washingstoned, DC before committing to production of ammo they couldn't sell.

This is a time for gun lovers and shooters to hang together. We may not hang seperately, but we may lose it all.

yeah i cant find any ammo in town right now its insane, wally world, k mart, gun shop "had hollow points but i was shootin paper so nah, and to other sports shops no 9mm ammo its even hard to find online sometimes.

still it would be pretty hard to abolish our 2ed amendment in a whole,

but they can try and they will bend the rules until the people say that's enough!

so yeah its good to hang out as a gun lover or shooter, hunter, trap, skeet or what ever it is you do with your firearm. Stand together when people try to take away what is rightfully ours.

but the shortage of 9mm ammo is not over hear, i do see 40 cal and 38 spl alot. 45 and 9mm ammo whiped out hear.

No sign of it letting up near me. Still have a hard time finding .40 S&W. I think it is easing up, but by no means over. I ordered some .40 from georgia arms december 1st and it took 7 weeks to ship. Ordered another shipment in march and it only took 3 weeks.

Its not over were I live.

I've delayed my Sig P239 project because of it as well. (It's still .357 Sig only)

At least i can still find .357 Sig ammo.

The .40 and 9mm is no were to be found however.

I wonder how this drought, as you so eloquently defined it, is effecting our police departments and military.

It just seems a little ridiculous. It seems that .380 and .45 ACP are even more impossible to find, with those calibers being on back order for months at a time.

.380 was so hard to find, I Sold my NAA Guardian purchased at the last Ft Worth gun show.

I've got a couple thousand .22s, but sure would like more to feel a bit more comfortable. Current times feels like living in the MAD MAX days

I switched to .40 cal due to fact I can find .40 everywhere. I bought my first .40 pistol yesterday for a carry gun just for that reason. And I love my new P944 too.

I cant find .40 anywhere near me. Only if I get lucky enough to get to the store as soon as they get in a shipment (been a couple months now). Thats why i ended up ordering from G-A and paying shipping from georgia to denver. I even bought some reloads at a local gun show which turned out to be a mistake. Clearing jams every couple of rounds isnt my idea of fun shooting. I've put off buying the P95 I want because 9mm is at least as scarce as .40 (unless you're looking for 9mm makarov).

It's still looking like mother Hubbard's cupboard around the Phoenix, Az. valley. Well, at least the east valley. I check 3 different walmarts in my area daily for .45 acp ammo and get the same answer- no, sorry. :x

stop the walmart search.
Go to gun stores, or if you must online, go to forums, people are starting to dump.
Still relatively high prices, but I am seeing ammo a plenty.
