I have a size Large Hand, but love thin grips on my Pistols and Revolvers. I recently bought this grip from Atamont as they are about the only place I have seen thinner grips.
I also had the lovely Bear Paw which is a unique grip but think it is a little too wide. I have not shot them side by side yes.

I've read elsewhere that the original owner of Altamont Grips passed away a few years ago. Apparently the folks running things now didn't keep up the good quality or service.

Sad to see,,, as "Another one bites the dust!"

I sent out a couple of my New Vaqueros to Gunfighter Industries for grips, they aren't off the shelf but no one touches them for custom grips. They aren't cheap but don't look cheap either. I don't consider custom grips to be custom if anyone can buy the same grips from a website. They are only on instagram and usually have a pretty decent wait list but have a ton of exotic materials. These are what they are making for me.

jav,, those do look good. Glad you got a good set. Maybe a few good folks are trying,,,!

SIXGUNJIM,, "Welcome to the Forum!" And those grips do look very, very nice. You are right about custom grips. Another top notch custom grip maker is Zane Thompson,, of Lone Star Custom Grips. He's a member here,, and goes by lscg. Look into some of his grips.

When my ex and I broke up, she got the refrigerator. I bought a new one at Best Buy and scheduled delivery. I had a cut-up big Wyoming mulie in the freezer. He called the day before delivery and said it would be 2 weeks before it could be delivered and6 weeks to process a refund! I went over to the store and LOUDLY asked him what I was supposed to with about 150-175 lbs of venison. He was showing a full kitchen of appliances to a new couple. He wanted me out of there, so he "found one" in the warehouse and found two guys to deliver it! Last purchase from Best Buy!!
Best Buy is in trouble in Florida. Several stores closed and others were converted to outlets for presumably dead / old stock or scratch and dent.

1. Be prepared to wait.
2. Willing to take a gamble?

Your choice!

As I said, I bought a pair from Arizona Grips. After five days, the tracking still shows waiting for item. I complained and they said "it'll go out right away". Finally, an update that it would be 2 additional days before delivery (after latest initial estimate!). POOR CS!!!!

Altamont sells a lot of their items on Gunbroker and ebay. Scored some really nice grips for a fraction of the asking price on their website. Just need to watch new postings every Sunday for what you may be looking for. Ebay tends to run higher in overall cost.

My grips are actually supposed to arrive today by 9PM: That's a 1/2 day early!! Hurrah!

I can second the opinions on quality and service for Arizona. But, IMHO Altamont's wooden grips are second to none. Since having new grips never has a time constraint I would be happy to wait as long as they accepted the order and communicated well.
