I'm trying to put a collection together of each caliber Ruger has ever offered in SA Revolvers. These are the calibers I know of, what am I missing?
17M2, 17HMR, 22 LR, 22 Mag, 30 Carbine, 32 H&R, 327 Fed Mag, 32-20, 357 Mag, 357 Max, 9MM, 40 S&W, 38-40, 10MM, 41 Mag, 44-40, 44 Spl, 44 Mag, 45 ACP, 45 Colt.

I know you can shoot others such as 38 Spl in 357 Mag guns, etc. But I want a SA Revolver in each actual caliber they sold. Since the 256 Hawkeye was a single shot, I don't consider that a revolver (that way I don't have to pony up and buy one). I also know they sold calibers in the DA guns not offered in SA. It's the SA calibers I want to start with.

What did I miss?

As far as I can remember I think you covered it. I am curious as to the calibers that Ruger chambered in DA guns that they didn't in SA are talking. I've always thought that Ruger chambered most calibers in the SA first then the DA guns if they saw a need.

.480 & .454 come immediately to mind.

You do know those are the chamberings not the calibers, right? .357 mag, .357 max, 9mm...all the same caliber but they're different cartridges.

Marshal,

You have all of the calibers listed that I have ever heard about.
I started the same thing back in the '90s and have all calibers except the 17M2 and the .327.
The 17M2 is pretty hard to find and I may just settle for fitting an aftermarket cylinder to my 17HMR.
Good luck & happy hunting!

475 & 500 Linebaugh

Per the OP..."Ruger has ever offered in SA Revolvers." Now maybe I've missed something, but when did they offer up 475's and 500's?

Didn't catch that. I guess I read 327 mag or 480 or 454 and assumed we were talking about any manufacturer, not just Ruger. Sometimes I should take more time reading I guess.

Thanks for looking this over guys.

JHRosier, I am lacking the same two calibers (17M2 & 327). I hope the 327 part will be fixed in the next few days. The dealer who got me my 44 spl's is trying to find a 327 for me. The 17M2 is tough. I've "just missed" a couple, but I'm going to keep trying!
