Hi everyone. New member here from NY. I currently own several tang safety Model 77's and just discovered that there was a recall for a trigger problem on some of these. The recall is for replacing a set screw in the trigger. I verified with Ruger that 2 of them need the fix and they sent to me the new set screws and some very sparse instructions. My question is there a specific torque requirement and should thread locker be used?

My next question is regarding the action screws. Mine are currently slotted screws and I would like to replace them with torx (preferably) or allen head. Brownell's years ago sold a dedicated set of all 3 screws but like an idiot I never bought them and now they don't have them. Any help with specifics on these screws would be much appreciated.
Thank you for any help,
Bob

If Ruger didn't supply Tq specs I guess that it's not necessary but I would call them to verify. Can't help on your other question. Not much I know, but that's all I got for ya. Welcome to the forum.
