adjustable sights - When should you adjust?

I see that the sights on the SR9c are adjustable. When should one adjust sights and do shooters do this often?

I'm not picky about adjusting handgun sights. If you do the math (trig) you can't really adjust handgun sights enough to make a difference. You have what, a 5.5" sight radius? I don't shoot 1/4" groups, it really doesn't matter to me.

Generally, I will find a load the gun likes, adjust the sights for that load, and forget about it. I ony adjust sights if they need adjusting after switching loads.
