This is my first old model Single Six, a convertible, 6 1/2 gun. I has had a lot of ammo put through it. It is a transition gun, small serial numbers with an aluminum ejection rod cover.
I bought the little revolver, new, for $69.00 from Dick Riley of Hokseltt, New Hampshire in 1961 for my own Christmas present, while in HS. I used to sweep and clean up in Dick's shop. I traded Dick part of the price for gun stuff I had, Dick loved to trade. Dick later became the president of the NRA.
Dick was the gunsmith that told me to:
Go get a real job, that pays real money, retire and work on guns after. Do not try to support a family by gunsmithing. Dick was right.

This is the last of my 150 unit OM Single Action collection, the first.

Good advice, lol. I'd say at 150 units you are the most dedicated OM single action collector I'm aware of. I certainly love the ones I have, just over 10% of your number. If gunbroker prices mean anything, and I'm not sure they do, Ruger SAs are starting to see the appreciation due them. Nice little gun.
