About two years ago I found a really nice Angeles trike for my son that a friend of mine had for sale for $25. Angeles trikes were started by Claude Tindell to stand up to the use by kids. He made them out of the back of his van.
It's been tough looking at this thing because between surgeries and recuperating I have not had time to do anything with it but I decided to get on with it so he can finally ride it in between days of rain. I have a bit more to go but the project is going along nicely.

Here is what it looked like when I got it, fully functional but looking a bit peaked.

Here is the frame after I cleaned it up with a wire wheel in my drill, very tough one handed in my drill but I got it done. Here it is in primer, it now has three coats of white paint on it.

Here is the seat with coated in white. Eventually it is going to get some blue rally stripes like my son's favorite car, a vintage Mustang.

Here is the front end that I still need to take apart.

Here are the wheels in need of a cleaning and stripping down.

If the weather holds up tomorrow I plan on getting the front end taken down and then the wheels to get at least into primer.

Very cool project! I love stuff like this!

Cool trike. Definitely pre-hot wheels.
Years ago I bought an old bike and fixed it up and painted it pink for a grand daughter. When all was done and said I think I had more in it than I could have bought a new one for. Oh well, we both were happy.
