I had a date with two of my granddaughters, but Georgia's 16 year old sister decided to sleep in. I can't blame her as she gets up at 5am every day for school and has a job on the weekends. Georgia, 14, found out her Dad passed away a week ago Thursday. Let's just start out with a ride down to Buck-ee's in Adairsville, GA.

At 11am Sunday it was packed! I've stopped there before to get non-ethanol gas and once to get a good, but outrageously salty brisket sandwich. It was more of the same today, meaning absolutely nothing was that great. I asked Georgia how much $ she thought went thru this store in a day and she said thousands. I said hundreds of thousands if you count the 120 or so gas pumps.

We headed over to The Rock Garden in Calhoun, GA. It's behind a church and is Christian themed. Here's the website:

You can see better pics here ↑ ↑ ↑ than I could take of the beautiful castle like structures build with stones, shells, glass etc. There's even a creek with a mini waterfall. Here's some pics you won't see in the link:

With Georgia the trip wouldn't have been complete without a trip to her favorite pet store. She has 2 Budgie birds and wants about 20 more. She fell in love with this rabbit. Every kid in the store would be a little bit rougher with the rabbit than it wanted. Georgia has the Midas touch with little critters and the rabbit loved it. Normally after about 10 minutes I'm ready to move on, but not today--not under the circumstances. I watched her stroke that rabbit for a full hour. I know she wanted to take it home, but I wouldn't do that to her Mom.

Here she is just saying Awwww with how much this moment meant to her.

It wasn't until I was taking her home that I asked her how she was doing with the recent events. I won't post what she said, and that was that.

The day ended and she got out of my car. Like always I said: I love you, Georgia! And she says: I love you, PawPaw! When she opens the door to her home she turns, smiles and waves to me. That says it all. Did I mention just how deeply I love this precious girl?

I am so blessed...❤️

You need to buy Georgia a Rat. Rabbits are useless as pets they only sit there and eat, the same with guinea pigs.
Rats will interact with you and learn not to go potty on you while you are playing with them, they will climb on to your shoulder, they will learn not to bite you. Watching them eat something different. They use their front paws like hands great to watch them. They are smart and they learn. Buy her a pet Rat!

She likes Budgie birds; they're like small Parakeets She was telling me all about them on another day trip we took and I kept calling them wedgies. No, they're Budgies. Me: That's what I said, wedgies. And so on...

She has 2 of them and she loves them to death. Last week she was being responsible by taking the dog out. Unfortunately, her Budgies were flying around the house and one of them flew out the door.

What a tough lesson to learn...

I had a pet gerbil I got as a kid. I could take him out with me. I would toss his box(old gerbil food box) down and tell him let's go. If I knew anyone who wanted to make a litter I would take him by for a few weeks. When I turned 18 and legal he even drank beer with me. I would go to the bar and fill a bottle cap and tell him to come drink his brew. He would climb out of his box, lap it up and climb back in his box. Everyone thought it was hilarious. He could only do it 5-6 times before he went to sleep in his box. I think he was about 7 years old when I had to put him out of his misery. I like to think he lived so long because he had a life.
