I bought two Nickel Plated Old Armys real cheap to use in SASS. I did pretty good with the 71/2" barrels but decided I wanted to modify them. So I had Alan Harton make some Super Hammers, cut the barrels to 51/2" and remove all of the lettering, flute the cylinders and add a Black Powder Bevel to them. I also added Gunfighter Grips.

I also bought some conversion cylinders in 45 Colt which I had fluted and a BP bevel this allows me to shoot BP and smokeless. The smaller 45 special cases don't require as much BP. It is about 25gr. of 3F with 200 gr. bullet same as when I load cap and 147gr. ball
