This one appeared on Tacswap Monday afternoon at 4 pm. By 8 pm I brought it home.

A fellow posted this and I asked if he was interested in a trade. He was interested in my 30-06 AP ammo. We agreed to meet about 35 miles away. A 2019 model, Ruger American Target .22 w/threaded barrel. It was showroom fresh. The fellow took excellent care of it. He included the Hawke 3-12 x 44 SF scope and tossed in a padded rifle case. The gentleman knew his firearms and was a pleasure to work with both in communications and in person.

He shoots long-distance in centerfire and wanted the AP for its accuracy. We were both happy with the transaction. Now I have a bolt-action to use with my suppressor. With this Ruger, I can run subsonic and CCI Quiet that wouldn't function in a semi-auto. I should hit the range next Tuesday to give it a go.

I was happy not to trade a gun, rather ammo I've had for 48 years when I bought cans of this stuff for almost nothing being next to an Army base.

It's nice when something good more or less falls in your lap rather quickly.

No comments about the rifle/scope as my opinions are likely different.
Ammo wise: I wouldn't waste time on CCI 'Quiet' ammo. Sub-sonic will be fine with the muffler and most likely much more accurate. In my experience, SV ammo can/will result in occasional 'super sonic' bullet signature when fired from a rifle length barrel.
I have the very similar but less 'tricked out' common RAR as a suppressor host. Using Aguila sub-sonic HP, this is so quiet you hear the striker fall and bullet strike but literally no muzzle sound.
