I got 14.5 hours from Dallas, TX to Lake Lure, NC.

Kevin, don't bring the kitchen sink when it comes to guns. 90% of them won't get shot unless you strongly insist :)

Dinner friday will be around 6:00 pm,, give or take a little. It's NOT formal,, so as long as we know you are on the way,, we'll wait,, a little,,,! :D

Not sure how long it would take to drive it,, as it's been a long time since I drove from that area. Just allow for construction delays a little.

Kevin, I'd try for earlier on Friday... I-40 & 26 around Asheville is bear during rush hour. The only other concern is if part of a mountain decides to fall on I-40 this side of Tennessee. It's happened more than once.

I'm planning to get there on Saturday one way or another (Water pump on Ford Flex is leaking and the estimate is $1,200*)
Right now I have a tad further to go to get there than you Kevin, but hopefully it will be shorter by next Friday: This is me yesterday wandering around taking pictures dodging rattlers and looking for water....

Yeah, Blume, that is a little further than Dallas. Good luck on the water pump.

I'm planning on leaving Wednesday morning. I want to go to the Smoky Mountain Knife Works store there in Sevierville, TN. They don't open till 10 AM. And that is about 2 1/2 hours to Lake Lure. So dinner at 6 pm will work out just fine.

Kevin a word of advice, take I 840 around Nashville May take a few minutes more but you can get stuck in Nashville for much longer than that.

I’m hoping I can see your reloading setup and your Dillon reloading presses. I still haven’t gotten a progressive. But I’m fact, I was just looking at Dillon’s website and they don’t offer the 650 anymore. They have a “new” 750. Is that just an improved 650 ?

I'll show you my set-up. No problem. The XL750,, I haven't gotten an chance to truly study it,, but I would say it's highly possible they've taken the 650 & improved some things for sure. I do have a list of the changes around here somewhere.

Well, Jackie and I are in our hotel in Sevierville now. Visiting Gatlinburg tomorrow morning and Smoky Mountain Knife Works, Lodge Cast Iron and Bud's Gun Shop tomorrow afternoon. Sleep in a bit on Friday, breakfast at the Apple Barn and then head out for the hotel in Forest City (Days Inn) and Tyrone's.

Tyrone, you can tell Miss Penny I have the 4 layer Special Dark Chocolate cake safely in the cooler.

Chris, Richard and I will be moving out for Forest City around 10 this morning. Gotta wait till the Baltimore Beltway traffic clears. Right now (08:00) the route I have to take (I-95S - I-895S) is so bad I could almost walk as fast as it is moving. See ya Friday.

If you are talking about the 840 around Nashville. I did take that. Before the exit to 840 there was a sign. Construction on 40 through Nashville, expect delays. The time said 65 minutes through Nashville on 40 to Lebanon or 66 minutes on 840 to Lebanon. The added bonus was a smooth road with far far less traffic.
