9mm Charger pistol grip swap problem

I'm usually pretty handy, but this one has me bamboozled.
How do you remove the grip adapter from the OEM grip? I've tried everything with every "normal" tool I have. I see a tiny hole in the top of the adapter, but I couldn't see any hole that would take a hex wrench. Looking up through the bottom of the grip I couldn't see any defines edges that would accept a hex or otherwise wrench. The manual doesn't address changing the grip out.
So...anyone who has accomplished this...can you share the secret?
