I've got my 11:1 barrel blank in hand but have never removed a barrel from a 96-44. (remington, mauser, Ruger, and others, but not the 96)

I'd like to order the correct tap for the receiver once the barrel is off to clean up the threads, anyone know the proper tap size? Does anyone know the proper action wrench for this? And what torq specs for the new barrel?

Ideally I'd order an AGI dvd on it but none exist.

OK, that's enough from the new guy. Thanks!

Good luck with that new barrel. That is a fast twist. You must be going to shoot a very heavy bullet. :D

Yes, I've got a custom mold that casts 300gr hollow point bullets. The bullet actually has 3 crimp grooves. Crimping where the OAL is the shortest will actually fit the rotary magazine the 96 uses.
