Anybody shot one of the NEW 77/44 carbine yet? Just got one and wondering how they were shooting.

Well, they should be out as they've been advertised long enough (the 2nd go around!), but I've had no reports of the NEW ones out there yet.

I noticed one at a local dealer's a couple of weeks ago. I think he still has it. I believe he had a price of $589 on it.

dfletcher,

I would say that you could be 99.999% sure that the early and recent guns share the same stock dimensions. I would love to have a stainless and walnut model myself but don't knock the plastic until you try it. I have an all-weather 77/44 and even though I don't care for the looks , it is as close as you can get to indestructible. My heavier recoiling all-weathers have had the synthetic stocks changed but the 44 isn't bad in that department.

Chet,

Check out Mr. Quinn's new write up on the 77/44.

Jeff.
