So,
How many of y'all have had issues removing and loading your 77/44's magazine?
Don't get me wrong, I have many more rifles and little Ruger would be one of the last to go, but it can be a bugger to load/reload 😡
I have found that leaving the mag in place and loading it through the top is the easiest for me. I know you can get extended an mag release and expensive 😳😳 higher cap mags but I'm not interested in either.
Just wondering if I'm alone in these feelings.

It's kinda awkward on mine and my 77/357 - but I think that's because I have some medical stuff going on with my hands.

I'll admit that arthritic hands can be troublesome when removing magazines the don't extend below the receiver. I don't have a 77/44 but I've found the easiest way to remove a tight American rimfire mag is to hold the release and poke mag from the top.

I bought the aftermarket mag release - makes it much easier to get the mag halfway out!.

I have basic skills on drilling & tapping. I suppose if I had to I'd buy an extra factory release and do a 10/32 D&T, then cover it with a rubber sleeve.

On my 77/357 it took me a bit to get my technique down to get the mag out. If I get in a hurry I still fumble it on occasion. Might have to look at an extended mag release.
